Note: Our Months Of Operation
TMC is active and ready to volunteer with others from Mid-January to November. As we are teens, school finals and holiday commotion make the winter months most ideal for independent projects, and we have placed a soft-break from volunteering during these months.
We're around all summer!
TMC is commented to balancing school and extracurriculars during the semester, but we look forward to extra time for long-term projects and community service.
More Info:
ToolBox Initiative is open to ages 10-13.
Activities will be focused around invasive plant work, trash pickups, oral history workshops, and community involvement. The goal is to provide tweens and early teens with connections and outlets for local leadership and engagement.
ToolBox Initiative will be held at the Madison County Arts Council in Downtown Marshall.
ToolBox Initiative comes at the low cost of at $50 for the entire camp. Teens of Madison County is committed to keeping this experience open to all, so contact info@teensofmadisoncounty.com if cost presents an issue.
Marshall Native Gardens Monthly Workdays
Always on the 3rd Saturday of Each Month from 9:30 to around noon at the Marshall Public Library.
These monthly workdays are a great way to get to know our beautiful library campus and to see the lovely work Marshall Native Gardens does, and can be an opportunity to meet our members and volunteers.
Blannahassett Island Workdays with Mountain Valleys RC&D
Workdays on the Marshall island with Mountain Valleys RC&D were one of TMC's first partnerships, and we aim to maintain consistent workdays. Our past involvements include planting trees and reseeding grass, Hurricane Helene cleanup efforts, and invasive weed removal.
If you are interested in volunteering on the island you may contact our email provided or apply to volunteer with Mountain Valleys. If there's an event we will likely be there!
Roadside Litter Cleanups
TMC has indevoured to attend many road cleanups since the beginning of our story. While these past months we have been focused on post-Hurricane restoration, we plan to continue this tradition moving forward.
Lookout for more information about the 2026 Great Madison County Litter Sweep Contest this spring!
If you would like to organize a cleanup in your area reach out as we would love to attend!
Events with Madison Early College's NHS & Interact Club
Many of our volunteers are members of school involvement clubs, and if you are younger than high school or homeschooled TMC can be a great way to stay informed about student-run events in our community.
Independent Projects: More on the Way!
Projects like History with Our Neighbors, our Appalachian History Book Project, and our upcoming Windowsill Stories Event take many hands to perfect.
To get involved you can mark upcoming events on your calendars and inquire about future pursuits.
TMC has a commitment to education, and if you or your organization would like to partner for a project please contact us.
